Meet Our Lizards

Lizards are great for any event.  Many of our lizards are happy to bask out in the sun on those hot summer days, so there's no limitation on indoor or outdoor events.

Species: Leopard Gecko

Native to: Northern India, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iran
Diet: Insects
Origin: Purchased from an online breeder: Kalicko Gecko
Status: In Quarantine for New Arrivals

Name: Kamal (kuh-MAAL)
Species: Yellow Niger Uromastyx
Year of hatching: Late 2020
Native to: Niger, Algeria, Mali
​Diet: Leafy greens, millet, lentils, other fruits and veggies
Origin: Jamal is from Imperial Reptiles. We purchased him as a 10-12 month old juvenile.
​Status: Active Ambassador

Name: Kimba
Species: Bearded Dragon
Year of hatching: Estimated to be 2019
Native to: Australia
​Diet: Leafy greens, orange veggies, crickets, dubia roaches
Origin: Kimba is from Blue Ridge Reptile Rescue.  They thought that she was about three years old when she was handed over to them.  She was fed an improper diet, but was otherwise in good condition.

Species: Panther Chameleon
Year of hatching: November 2020
Native to: Madagascar
​Diet: Crickets, mealworms, horned worms, roaches, small insects
Origin: Maui is from a local breeder, Charm City Glam Chams. He is our second chameleon from Barbara with our previous chameleon, Genie, being a fan favorite.

Name: Hakim (haa-KEEM)
Species: Veiled Chameleon
Year of hatching: 2021
Native to: Saudi Arabia and Yemen
​Diet: Crickets, mealworms, horned worms, roaches, small insects
Origin: Hakim is from Mark's Chameleons who is based in New York.  We purchased him as an adult because he had a good temperament, which can be difficult to find with his species.
​Status: Active Ambassador

Name: Hiccup
Species: Chinese Water Dragon
Year of hatching: 2018
Native to: China and Southeast Asia
Diet: Crickets, mealworms
Origin: Hiccup was purchased from Petsmart as a baby and has calmed down over time.
Status: Active Ambassador
Green lizard with long tail.  Its body is the size of the person's hand while the tail is the length of their arm
Name: Jasmine
Species: Chinese Water Dragon
Year of hatching: 2014
Native to: China and Southeast Asia
​Diet: Crickets, mealworms, horned worms, roaches, small insects
Origin: Jasmine was a personal pet of Alex prior to the establishment of Ferrets and Friends, LLC.  Jasmine was purchased at a local pet store as a baby.
​Status: Retired
Black and brown lizard about the size of a person's hand
Name: Loki 
Species: Blue Tongue Skink
Year of birth: 2018
Native to: Australia
Diet: Crickets, mealworms, cat wet food, leafy green veggies, fruits
Origin: Loki was purchased as a baby from Petco.  He has calmed down over time and with regular handling.
​Status: Active Ambassador

Name: Sierra
Species: Argentine Tegu
Year of hatching: April 25, 2016
Native to: Southern regions of South America
​Diet: Whole rats, raw salmon, ground turkey, quail eggs, chicken eggs, some fruits and veggies
Fun Fact: When we first got Sierra, she only weighed 45 grams.  Now she weighs about ten pounds!
