Meet Our Mammals
Everyone loves our furry friends! We have ferrets, rabbits, chinchillas, and a hedgehog. We are proud of our well socialized animal friends. Many of our mammals are temperature sensitive and will not attend events that are held outdoors on days that the temperature is expected to exceed 80 degrees Fahrenheit. The safety and well-being of our animals is our top priority.
Ferret Friends
Name: Kira (KIH-R-aa)
Date of Birth: July 25, 2021 Description: Kira is a sweet and cuddly ferret. She is excellent at climbing and can jump surprisingly high. She's very petite for a ferret, so she can fit into very small spaces. In 2022, Kira passed her test to be a therapy ferret. Origin: Kira was purchased from Petco. Favorite Activities: Grooming and cuddling her favorite people, falling asleep on a person's chest, playing with her sister and the boys. Can I do tricks? Date of Birth: July 25, 2021 Description: Alba is a sweet, but mischievous little girl. If something goes missing, it was most likely Alba. Date of Birth: May 16, 2021 Description: Diego has a lot of energy to burn. He enjoys opportunities to explore and walks well on a leash. His best friend is Dexter, the blind siamese cat. Name: Bumi (BOO-mee)
Date of Birth: March 2, 2017 Description: Bumi is well socialized and enjoys exploring new places and new people! He enjoys scratches on his chin and happily poses for pictures on people's hands. Bumi loves traveling new places and isn't shy around crowds. Favorite Activities: Running on his wheels, chasing his buddy Sokka, and greeting his favorite people. Date of Birth: July 1, 2016 Description: Sokka is a shy guy, but enjoys getting his chin scratched and his belly rubbed by people who he trusts. He prefers small and quiet events. Date of Birth: December 12, 2020 Description: Kwame is friendly and tolerates touching. When handled by new people, he sometimes licks or "gives kisses". He loves running on his wheel and investigating new smells. Origin: We purchased Kwame from Marissa's Hedgies. He was well socialized before coming to his new home and adjusted quickly to the life of being an animal ambassador. Date of Birth: June 15, 2014 Description: Peach runs things at Ferrets and Friends. Someone has to supervise these silly humans! While you won't see her at events, you may catch glimpses of her in our social media. Can I do tricks? Yes, I know "up", "spin", "sit", "lay down", and I know to go in my carrier on cue, go through a tunnel on cue, and jump over an object on cue. I'm currently learning to jump through a hoop. Date of Birth: Estimated August 2015 Description: Dexter was rehomed when he was about seven years old. He is a blind Siamese mix. He enjoys playing with the ferrets and teaching Peach how to get into trouble like cats should. Can I do tricks?
